Worship and prayer evening

Report of evening.

Well, what an amazing start!
Thanks to all who were able to get to the meeting and thanks to all who prayed for us even though you weren't there.
13 of us in Dave and Kezi's lounge - lots of faith - lots of prophetic stories - lots of enthusiasm for God.
Our first worship time was inspirational. Love for God and his purposes spilled out as we thanked Him for His salvation, His character and His church.
He spoke to us prophetically about the church having a foundation of grace and a focus on the gospel. He told us that He has already purposed to bring people to faith who at present have no concept of spiritual need, being locked in their prosperity. He promised to break through the bondage of materialism.
We were encouraged to 'travel light' - not carrying baggage - being agile and responsive to His word.
We were reminded of the prophetic word from Julian Adams a few years ago about the level of water rising in the River Thames and how the Old Deer Park in Richmond floods regularly - this was to be a picture for us of God 'spilling out' in the Borough. Water being essential for life and how the Spirit will be poured out to bring many 'dead' people to life.
God promised to inspire influential minds in the Borough to bring a new perspective to people through the gospel - breaking pride and bringing influence.
We were encouraged to see the new church plant as a pregnancy. Conception having taken place last year with R and E - implantation when we were commissioned by the London Newfrontiers Team to go and plant and last night being our first scan, when, for the first time, we get a glimpse of the heartbeat!
Roll on the birth date!!
We heard God say that He has already established His authority over the Richmond Borough and that His focus is firmly on us - He has already predestined people to be saved and added.
We were suitably encouraged, as you can imagine.
Next monthly meeting date will be circulated as soon as decided.
